Kosmix
since 2005
The KosmiX is a permanent sound installation/instrument that is used by kids in the Klankspeeltuin.

The installation consists of a black floor (5x5m) with light sensitive, white dots. By stepping on the white dots one can play a sound. Together, kids (7-12 years) can make musical compositions. It is designed and produced together with Marien Hogerheijde and Danny de Graan.

The KosmiX is currently up and running in the Klankspeeltuin (in english: Soundplayground) which is a venue with different sound installations for kids (See also XenaX). The Klankspeeltuin is part of Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ in Amsterdam.
